The beginning of this year will see the expansion of the JayLand Radio Show by Djane Missy Jay to popular FM stations. The show will be broadcast professionally worldwide and be aired on five continents. She’ll be the only woman managed in the broadcasting agency and will be joining music pioneers that includes Techno DJS Chris Liebing, Umek and Cristian Varela.
“I’m so thrilled to start again to broadcast my radio show, this time not only on Internet radio stations, but also on popular FM,” said Missy Jay. “I’ll be dedicating a big slice of my time to doing something which I love. I am so excited to prepare my mixes each week, get tracks from producers and play their music on my shows. I have been blessed when big name DJs have been enjoying playing my music during their shows. NDR Dubfire played “Nobody’s Perfect” in Amnesia Ibiza for Cocoon parties. Music is for sharing, love is sharing, music is love for me.”
Missy Jay began her podcasts to connect with fans, let them know about the latest trends, and keep them informed about music and musicians. She also utilized her platform to give talented newcomers some much needed exposure by playing their demos and bringing them to the attention of the music world. Broadcast live in the UK, the JayLand Radio Show was launched following a series of workshops with BBC Radio 1Xtra producer, Carol Berry.
The popular Djette won the prestigious Matrix Female DJ Contest in Milan, Italy. The competition is a nationwide Italian competition that highlights the best, brightest and most talented women DJs. She was invited to tour with other top female competitors and immediately embarked on a promotional tour at clubs throughout Italy.
Missy Jay again pitted herself against the best and emerged the winner of the Female DJ Award held in Toulouse, France. The international competition draws contestants from around the world and was formed to recognize premiere female talent in a typically male-dominated field. From a field of 300, only eight make the final cut with Missy Jay taking the title.
