DJ Missy Jay has been breaking barriers and excelling in a male dominated music field for years. She’ll be creating another sensation when she becomes the first female DJ to headline at the Morotva Music Festival in Hungary on July 7th.
“Hungary, here I come! Morotva is such a wicked festival and I’m so blessed to be playing as a main act on the Techno stage and the first ever female DJ on stage,” said Missy Jay. “What an honor! I just love to perform at festivals. For me it means summertime, freedom and happiness.”
One of the largest House and Techno festivals in Europe, the Morotva Music Festival is an open air celebration of electronic music with a massive line-up of artists and sounds. It’s an immersive experience that sells out months in advance.
The festival has an immense fan base spanning the globe, providing music lovers with an opportunity to see some of the biggest and best names in dance music. The music festival has been host to industry leaders that includes Nicola Fasano and Marco Bailey, along with appearances by artists encompassing Beck, Lumen and Jay.

Gary Beck – a Scottish born DJ and producer, he’s collaborated with some of the biggest names in the business and he released his debut album under the iconic Soma Records label. He’s the head of BEK Audio, the prestigious techno label and is a regular at high-profile music events.
Jay Lumen – the Hungarian DJ producer founded Footwork Records, collaborated with giants of the music industry and had his music played on podcasts and major radio stations. An award-winning DJ, Beatport listed him as No. 2 for highest sales in the Techno category.
Uto Karem – the Italian DJ, producer, remixer, label manager, and former computer music editor is well-known for his high-energy tracks. He owns and operates Agile Recordings and produces the monthly “Utopolys Radio” podcast that’s broadcast on over 50 stations in 25 countries.
Missy Jay will be the first female DJ to headline the Morotva Music Festival, an honor that she takes very seriously. The award-winning DJ has a schedule that spans the globe and she’ll be headlining the Pacha Hotel’s Elegant Sessions in Ibiza; appearing at the Bora Bora Club in Ibiza, Spain on September 21th; and performing at Privilege during the unique Face of Ibiza celebration on November 8th.
